Camera Jib
Moving
image is constantly trying to improve the look and production value of our
work. We do this by challenging ourselves with each new project to find
new ways to tell our client's stories. Equipment plays a major role in adding
depth and beauty to the visuals and nothing can add dramatic Hollywood style
movement better than a Jib also known as a camera crane.
The jib gives the camera the ability to move from ground level to soaring heights in matter
of a few seconds and can be breathtaking indeed but it does come with a few
expensive trade-offs. To add a Jib or camera crane to a project usually requires adding
more setup and teardown time as well as extra crew members to operate it.
Many projects with modest budgets simply cannot afford the extra cost in
exchange for the Jib's unquestionable benefits.

However Moving image has
found a way to offer you the best of both worlds. We use a smaller lighter
Jib known as the Easy Effects
Jib and a remote controlled Camera Turret.
The Turret allows the cameraman to pan and tilt the camera as well as zoom in and out using remote control.
Our Jib only requires a single operator and can be set up and taken down
in 10 minutes. It has a maximum height of 15 feet without extensions and a minimum height of ground level.
Recently Jim Coulter, our experienced Jib Operator, flew the Jib using the remote controlled Camera Turret on a TV Series called Imagine Ballroom where top rated ballroom dancers from Houston and around the country competed for the Imagine Ballroom Grand Prize!
The Jib is ideal for Music Videos, Events, Corporate Video and of course Movies. Now the beautiful sweeping movements that
were once only within reach of big budget productions and Hollywood movies
are available to everyone!
